| Our Story |
Owning alpacas is an ongoing Telluride
adventure for our family. We came to this
beautiful corner of SW Colorado when our
children were young and fell in love with the
place.
The more time we spent here, the more we
wanted to establish deeper roots. We were
lucky enough to meet Gale and Jan Chappel
who raise alpacas at their Gray Head Ranch
on Hastings Mesa.
In December 2002, we bought Thunder and
Hani and began boarding them at Gray
Head Ranch. Through breeding, we now
have four more alpacas—Lena, Felix, Emil,
and Beatrice. Learn more about them under
“Alpacas for Sale”.
All this began because I love to knit! Ever
since my grandmother taught me at age 6, I
have been knitting just about every chance I
can. I enjoy sharing my passion for knittting
with others. I teach knitting classes and
workshops at The Ah Haa School for the
Arts in Telluride as well as other places in
the Chicago area throughout the year. If

During the summers you will find me on
Fridays at the Telluride Farmer's Market
selling my hand knits, hand knitting kits and
yarn along with other fine alpaca goods from
the AFCNA Co-op. This website extends my
selling season year round.
